Music Scholarships at Carroll
More than 200 music and non-music majors participate in Carroll’s performing groups each year. To help students attend Carroll and participate in these activities, the music program offers music scholarships to qualified full-time freshmen ranging up to $12,000 over four years in the vocal, wind, percussion and keyboard areas.
Recipients of the instrumental and choral scholarships will be invited to participate in brass, woodwind, percussion or choral ensembles. Keyboardists may accompany selected soloists in rehearsals and performances.
Anyone auditioning for these scholarships also will be considered for a $2,000 four-year music activity award ($500 per year). Recipients of the instrumental, choral and keyboard scholarships are not eligible for activity awards.
Auditions and placement exams are mandatory for all students who wish to pursue a major in music. Scholarship and admission auditions may be done concurrently.
