Welcome

Engineers apply fundamental engineering, scientific and mathematical tools to real-world problems. They develop solutions for needs in architecture, infrastructure, manufacturing systems, computers and software, medical applications, electrical power and many other areas. Successful engineers require strong analytical and computational skills, as well as a solid foundation in the physical sciences. Additionally, the demands of the modern, global economy require that engineers have good communication skills, social awareness, an understanding of economic theory and a sense of citizenship.

Pre-engineering students at Carroll University follow a course of study designed to address all of these demands. They take many classes in the physical science and mathematics, and those courses are complemented by the liberal studies program to prepare them for success in the various branches of engineering.
