Willis "Wis" Guthrie was an art professor at Carroll from 1946 to 1983. During that time, he touched the lives of many Carroll students. It might have been through an art history course, one of the many art studio courses he taught, a New Cultural Experiences Program trip, field trips to Chicago or through his own artwork.
Carroll is pleased to announce the establishment of an endowed Willis Guthrie Art Scholarship to be given every year to an incoming freshman art student.![[photo] Wis Guthrie now](images/wis1.jpg)
Now 89, Wis lives with his wife, Ina, in Waukesha. He is still active as an artist, exhibits his work, and makes presentations to various community organizations.
